How it Works - The 6 steps to studying in Australia
| Step 1 - Counseling and course selection |
|
The first step towards studying in Australia is to contact AIES. Whether you are just looking for information, are in
your home country or already in Australia, the AIES service has been developed to help you. Upon contacting us one of our
friendly and experienced consultants will review your academic and personal needs and assist you in selecting suitable
study options. We will also provide you with information on the
requirements necessary for your course application (i.e. supporting documents, pre-requisites, fees, etc.).
|
| Step 2 - Course application |
|
Once you have selected a course you would like to apply for, AIES will submit your application to the relevant
institution. Usually within 1 week for VET courses and up to 2 to 5 weeks for Universities, you will receive a
letter of provisional
acceptance into the course if you meet the institutions criteria.
|
| Step 3 - Course acceptance |
|
To confirm you place with the institution you are required to
formally accept the offer by making payment of the first semesters tuition fees or a deposit (depending on the
institution). Following payment you will receive your official confirmation of enrolment (COE).
|
| Step 4 - Student visa application |
|
Once the confirmation of enrollment (COE) has been received AIES will assist you with your application for a
student visa. Applications for a student visa can take 4 to 12 weeks and the Australian Government has
very specific financial requirements, for further information please read our
student visa FAQ's. From this point you can also organize
your travel insurance and flights.
|
| Step 5 - Pre-departure and arrival arrangements (offshore students) |
|
Once the formal application has been completed, AIES will assist you with your pre-departure preparation,
accommodation and arrival arrangements to your new home in downunder Australia.
|
| Step 6 - Australian based student support |
|
One of the advantages many of our students enjoy is our local presence in Adelaide, Australia. Our office and staff are based in the CBD
close to many of the institutions that we represent. We often help students when they first arrive by collecting them from the airport,
assisting with setting up phone cards and banks accounts and ensuring that you settle into your new home. At any time while you are
here in Australia and need support, AIES is just a short walk or a phone call away.
